NorthSec 2020 will take place on May 14 and 15, 2020.
NorthSec is an 8 day long applied security event with a conference, competition, and professional trainings. The conference -- and this CFP -- consists of two tracks of talks, up to 4 tracks of 2-3 hour workshops, and a huge space for villages and community projects throughout the conference. The event is friendly and relaxed, with a comfortable 15 minutes between talks for participants to mingle, move around, drink coffee and craft beer and enjoy the "hallway track".
Click through to the CFP for information on what kinds of submissions we accept as well as logistics for travel and more!
- CFP Opened;
- Feb 2nd, 1st round of the CFP closes;
- Feb 3rd, 2nd round of the CFP opens;
- Feb 25th, 1st round of talks announced;
- Mar 15th, 2nd round of the CFP closes;
- Apr 1st, 2nd round of talks announced.
Why submit during round 1? About 2/3 of the talks will be chosen during round 1. Since NorthSec is a generalist event, round 2 of the CFP will be focused on getting talks to fill gaps left by round 1. So if you submit a an amazing proposal during round 2, but it's on a topic that is already broadly covered by talks selected during round 1, you might get rejected.
